Water Generator

Have you ever wanted to go camping and have hot water, or just running water? Or maybe some lights? We sure did! The idea is to place the unit into a fast running stream and let the water flow through and spin the generator. The first time out was not very successful due to a small leak that occurred almost immediately, causing the electronics to short out.

The main parts used were: an automotive fan, an old treadmill motor (because of the DC characteristics), some PVC plastic piping, and a garbage pail. Inside the black toolbox is a small 12v battery and a diode (to be sure the battery doesn’t power the motor). This Project is still under revision.
